Password Reset - Access Student Profile

If you ever need a password reset, your fastest response will be to email help@ciat.edu whether it is for the portal or Canvas.

Once you receive your password reset email, follow these instructions.

Your password will be reset to Welcome2CIAT. Please make sure you are logging into the student portal at https://learn.ciat.edu. Click Sign In, then the blue Azure AD box.

Input your username which is your student ID @ ciat.edu (for example, 89000****@ciat.edu).

If you haven't set multi-factor authentication up you will be required to set it up with your phone number.

After authenticating you'll have to reset your password; when it asks for the current password use Welcome2CIAT. Then you have to type in your new password twice.

Once completed you'll be able to access your Student Profile. The left side menu is what you will use most. Choose Access My Classes (Canvas) which will take you to Canvas and automatically log you in. This is a single sign-on environment, do not bookmark or save the page once in Canvas. If you bookmark the Canvas page and try to come back to it at a later date, it will ask you for a username and password which is not the same as your other credentials, so it will fail to let you have access.

Please ALWAYS use the student portal to access Canvas.
